Fani Willis & The Investigation of Donald Trump

The current president Donald Trump as been accused of attempting to interfere with Georgia’s 2020 presidential election. Fani Willis lead investigations finding a tape recording of trump requesting 11,780 votes and have encountered many roadblocks and attacks on her reputation during the coarse of this investigation. In addition to the increased scrutiny into her personal life from partisan entertainment shows a new state board that could remove or punish her and other attorneys in what appears to be an attempt to gain control of these department of justice activities. This ongoing events has been the subject of much online discourse.

This post brings attention to the state board that could remove or punish district attorneys approved in 2023 by the Georgia House as reported by the Atlanta Journal Constitution which the original author of this post, Ken, linked to. It seems Ken is quite fed-up with the state of his government by his hashtag Fascism and his account image stating to “join the resistance” and the resistance symbol from the star wars franchise. He also sarcastically suggests that this decision was to protect the current president Donald Trump from indictments of interference in Georgia’s voting. The AJC linked here described this as a dangerous overstep that could undo the will of the people.

This post from Instagram posted by producer, political commentator, writer and journalist Keith Boykin covers a Georgia senate committee hearing with Fani Willis on her investigation of Donald Trump. The investigation in question covers the taped recording of trump requesting 11,780 votes for the election in 2020. Attached is a video of said hearing in which Fani Willis answers the committees questions and confronts what she and Keith call lies that tempt to divide and misinform the public. Some of the committee members claim she spoke with democratic federal government officials including the former vice president and claims this was the cause of the investigation rather than any evidence of wrong doing by the current president.

This post from blue sky seems to be a simple call to attention to the investigation regarding trumps election interference and the attempts, many of them successful to derail slow or prevent investigation in this and other cases . It links to a ABC news report on GOP attempts to stop investigations in Georgia’s election, the January 16th riot and the classified document case as of 2024 and claims the DOJ has no power to prosecute a standing president. It would appear that the author of this post approves of Fanni Willis’s efforts to continue this case even though she has been through much.
