I chose a local non-profit organization based in Georgia called Wellspring Living. Wellspring Living is a non-profit with the mission to support victims of sexual exploitation. It offers a community to sexual exploitation victims by offering resources like youth trauma care, housing, job training and paid apprenticeship programs, and private education. They do public good for the state, as they offer support to some of the most vulnerable citizens that live here. They have a good social media presence, with 5 platforms linked directly from the site: X, FaceBook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram. On Reddit, many note Wellspring’s Christian origins, and some are therefore wary to seek help from anyone in the organization. However, others agree that volunteers and employees at Wellspring care deeply and commit many resources to help. I and other locals can attest to their resource availability myself, as my parents’ church has volunteered for them for a few years.

They have an open and well-organized website that explains what they do, where they are based (e.g., several cities in Georgia such as Atlanta, Gwinnett, and Kennesaw), how they have impacted people, how people can get involved, et cetera. It answers any questions people might have with a detailed Q&A section. The site offers numerous statistics, citing how they have served the community in the past 25 years. It also establishes credibility through ethos, providing both victims’ testimonials and educational sources the reader can browse. They also list several recognizable groups and brands (like UPS and Delta Airlines) that support them or partner with them. It offers full transparency by allowing anyone to easily find any information they need with headers and visible links. Anything the reader needs to know can be found on the site, with every explanation detailed yet concise.
