Uplifting Women is an online platform and portal used for Uplift, an all women led non profit organization. This website allows women who face immediate hardships or crises to receive financial aid. The website has a donation and contribution link to help fund the program for women, Uplift guarantees that 100% of the public donations go to women and children rather than operational costs. Additionally, the website details ways for the community or individuals to involve themselves and participate though volunteering, fundraising, and partnership opportunities. A significant detail is listed on the non-profits website; Organization and Transparency information. This facet provides the audience with the organization’s mission statement, information about the team, public costs, and their media presence.

From what I have seen uplift has a TikTok account-real uplift; this is a newer addition to their social media presence. They have an instagram account-real uplift, a facebook–uplift, and a linkedin account–Uplift Foundation, Inc. You can find the links for their social media accounts, on their website–except for TikTok since it is a new installment/extension. Inversely, you can find a link to their foundations website on each of their connected platforms.

Instagram, some accounts use #realuplift for their posts regarding the non profit events. The posts explain that this organization brings women together to help other women–that it is a non judgmental process. The whole focus of this non profit is to lift up women and provide them with help to better themselves and feel empowered.

Facebook, a larger more adult centered form of content, supporters and partnerships often mention their presence with the non profit, thus further enhancing the popularity.

Linkedin, generally takes a more professional approach, it allows the organization to be seen by different companies and businesses which could intensify the spread of the company. In addition, they highlight members of their organization and their leaderboard, and converse about job opportunities to help women. They help educate women on the social stratifications within the job market and how to prepare for a career.

Tiktok mirrors the same posts as instagram, but they have less of a follower count, thus limiting the platform’s engagement.

Uplift is a newer non profit organization, it was founded in 2020 by Atema Addy. She uses her platforms and websites to project her mission for helping women and children. She highlights help services and their website which allows women to easily apply. Furthermore, they have implemented mental health aid for youth in need.
